Volunteer

There are many ways to get involved with the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum.  You may volunteer in any of the following ways:

Volunteer for one of the five Special Events.  A volunteer at these events might help with crafts, decoration, or help with the food area.  Volunteers are also needed to help set up and take down the decorations that make the event special.

  • Mother-Son Event
  • Brunch with Santa
  • Daddy-Daughter Dance
  • Bridge
  • Tea with Mom

Volunteer Teachers are needed for the Monster Math and Weird Science programs.  The teachers in these programs can volunteer for as few as two times or many more.  Registration and training will be required.  Elementary school groups will rotate through four teaching stations.  Each lesson will be for a maximum of thirty minutes.  In addition to the teachers, teacher assistants will also be needed with each group.

General volunteers are needed for the following:

  • Mend clothes from the dress-up area
  • Do small carpentry repairs throughout the museum.
  • Reset the exhibit areas
  • Paint exhibit areas

Thank you to the many individuals and groups who have been involved with the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum!
